It seems my nervousness wasn’t entirely unfounded as the Cowboys were knocked out the playoffs tonight. All I really wanted was one win and a trip to the NFC Championship game. I would consider the first playoff win in 12 years progress but as it is I feel the 13-3 season is an utter disappointment. They’re the first #1 seed in the current playoff format (18 years) to lose their first game. Way to go guys!
I think penalties and dropped passes were the reason they lost. Actually, I think dropped balls was really the only reason they lost. There were at least two key plays, a Fasano TD and Crayton first down, that could have made the difference. The defense was respectable, the offense just couldn’t put up the points they had been during the season and stupid mistakes was the reason. At least it was better than last year’s ending.
With Indy getting upset as well, I really don’t care who wins next week or in February. I guess if I had to pick I’d say San Diego because they’re not the Pats, the Giants or have Brett Favre… but that’s not exactly a reason to root for a team. The bright side is the pain will eventually subside and I don’t have to stress about them winning any more games this season. That’s just freaking awesome.
This picture is just to make me feel better when I find this post a year from now.
