Cowboys Playoff Berth
Well, it seems they are the real deal folks. The Cowboys clinched a playoff berth last night with a win over Green Bay and can win the NFC East if the Giants lose Sunday. I had hoped of a return to the playoffs with a win in the first round but I'm really starting to believe they're capable of much more. A record of 11-1? That's just crazy.I love winning but I don't like building expectations. All this talk of them being the best team in the NFC has me nervous because I don't like it when people believe in them. For the last decade they have disappointed me when I believed in them and the more people that do the farther there is to fall. I like them being good, I just don't want people to think they're really good. Did you see what almost happened to the Pats last week? Exactly.
Oh and did anyone else think Gumbel and Collinsworth are two of the worst commentators in football history? Gumbal referenced to the Cowboys as Green Bay or the Packers on at least three different occasions in the first quarter. They were absolutely awful and if the NFL Network wants to be a player in broadcasting they need to dump those guys.
Apologies for the lack of cohesion and run-on sentences but it's how my brain is working right now.

I just have this gut feeling the the Pats won't make it to the Super Bowl. I said it before they played the Eagles and definitely still feel that way. It just seems like someone will upset them in the playoffs because EVERYONE expects them to go undefeated.
There are only 5 teams above .600 in the AFC.
Pats - Okay, this one is obvious.
Steelers - They lost to the Jets and barely beat Miami. Don't forget the loss to Arizona.
Cleveland - Enough said.
Indy - The second best team in the AFC but pretty banged up.
So where are all these great teams in the AFC? Throw out Indy and NE and what do you have? Not much, IMO and I don't think 2 teams can make the AFC that much better.
Then again, looking at the stats, I'm told I'm wrong. The NFC is leading 25-23 in inter-conference games... I guess it's that football sucks this year and I see lot more NFC games than I do AFC games (other than the Pats).
I stand by my one claim, though, the Cowboys will get destroyed in the Super Bowl.
