I’ve been amazingly absent from here for awhile but rest assured, I’ve had a lot going on. I have quite a few things to write about, but I want to give them the attention to detail they deserve. In the meantime, I’ll give you a short list of newsworthy items ’round these parts.
- My cat, Logan, was diagnosed with skin cancer. I didn’t even realize cats, especially those who have never been outside, could get it. I’ve had him since college, back before he became “our cat”, and it sucks. The prognosis is good, but he’s the closest thing I’ve ever had to a child and I’d rather not have to put him through it all.
- We went to Chicago for our sixth anniversary. We visited with Mike, ate a ton of food, drank some beer and spent a couple days touring the city. Chicago will eventually get two or three of its own posts, but you’ll have to enjoy the pics for now.
- School is seriously kicking my ass. I have 4 research papers plus our group thesis/project due this semester. The project includes designing/building a working information system and a 250 page paper. School is over for good on December 12th and I am starting to see the light.
- My desktop PC had a severe malfunction after 4 years of life. I ended up needing a Vista CD (I had XP), a second hard drive and a bootable Linux USB drive to get it back. The day I got it back up and running, my work laptop had an unrecoverable hardware failure. Thank God I had e-mailed copies of research papers to myself and/or others. Cue the Mac fanboys… now.
- I got a checkup and my vision is still 20/20 a full 9 years after my LASIK.
- I drove my dad’s 951 for a few days and it reinforced the idea that I want to sell the Legacy and get a RWD coupe.
- Life has gotten in the way of my gym efforts. I’ve still been going, but haven’t managed three days a week for the last few weeks. I hope to get back on track soon.
I guess that about does it for now. I’ve been doing a lot of writing for school, but I’ll get all those other updates on here eventually. I know you will be waiting with bated breath.
Falling behind on updates is miserable. You ready for Modern Warfare 2?
No video games for me until 12/12. You will have moved on by then.
Possibly. Forza 3 tomorrow!
