Konnichiwa Nippon!
Tomorrow begins our whirlwind trip to Japan. I've wanted to go for the better part of 15 years and we decided to go in celebration of me turning 30. I know a little bit of Japanese but certainly am not a qualified conversationalist. Here's our itinerary... it should definitely be an experience.
• 4 nights in Tokyo - Asakusa View Hotel
• 4 nights in Kyoto - Granvia
• 1 night in Koya San – Shojoshin-in
• 1 night in Osaka – Swiss Hotel
• 2 nights in Hakone – Taiseikan Ryokan
• 1 night in Tokyo – Mitsui Garden Ginza
We should have some internet access while there so I hope to post short updates least once or twice. I'm actually stoked to make a movie of our travels when we get back but am going to try to really enjoy it while I'm there. The wife and I travel well, so while I'm sure we're gonna get lost, at least we'll experience it together and won't freak out.
Assuming I eat sushi there (duh), it will also mark the first thing to get crossed off my Life List in 2008. By my count, there should be 7-8 completed this year, but Japan is definitely the biggest. I'm gonna have to add more "low hanging fruit" or 2009 is gonna be tough!

We just got our credit car bill and there were $700 in transactions from England over the last week. The credit card company said there were also attempted transactions in the amount of $1200 they didn’t allow through. Unfortunately that means they had to cancel our card and get a replacement card sent to Japan. :-\
