Flight School Anyone?
The Private Pilot certificate is your first step toward enjoying the wonders of three-dimensional flight. As a private helicopter pilot, you can fly for personal or business purposes. You DO NOT have to have any previous flight training or experience to begin learning.
How cool would that be? I've always thought helicopters were amazing machines and taking my first ride in Alaska pretty much cemented that notion. While I don't have $10k lying around, I think it would be a sweet use of one's disposable income. Even if I wouldn't be using it for routine flying of my own (or a rental) helicopter it would be nice to learn for the sake of learning. I have a fairly strong fear of heights and flying due to a childhood experience on an airplane and what better way to get over it? I already have too many hobbies and too many expensive ones at that but this one would top them all in cost and coolness factor, I think. I mean, how many people do you know have a helicopter pilot's license?
